Short answer: ToolVaultly’s health and lifestyle calculators turn a tape measure and a few numbers into useful estimates: body fat percentage by the Navy method, heart-rate training zones by the Karvonen formula, calories and distance from your step count, sleep timing built on full cycles, a data-based prediction of a child’s adult height, and a dog’s age in human years by breed size. Every estimate shows the method behind it, runs privately in your browser, and is free. These are planning estimates, not medical advice.

Health numbers only help if you know where they came from. A body-fat figure from a bathroom scale’s guesswork, a training zone copied from a poster, or a step count with no stride length behind it can all mislead. The calculators below use the standard published methods — and name them — so you can see exactly what your result is based on and how far to trust it.

Nothing you enter is uploaded or stored: your measurements are processed on your device and forgotten when you close the tab. Treat every result as a well-founded estimate for training and curiosity, and take anything health-critical to a professional.

Which health calculator do you need?

For body composition, the body fat calculator needs only a tape measure. For training, the heart rate zones calculator builds your zones from max and resting heart rate. Walkers: the steps to calories calculator and steps to miles calculator turn a step count into energy and distance using your stride. Waking up groggy? The sleep cycle calculator times bedtime to complete full cycles. And for the family questions, the child height predictor estimates adult height from parents’ heights, while the dog age calculator converts by breed size, not the old one-size myth.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is the body fat calculator?
It uses the US Navy circumference method, which typically lands within a few percentage points of far more expensive methods when measurements are taken carefully — snug tape, right landmarks, same conditions each time. It is an estimate for tracking change, not a clinical measurement.
What heart-rate formula do the zones use?
The Karvonen formula, which accounts for your resting heart rate as well as your maximum. That makes the zones personal: two people of the same age can get meaningfully different targets. The heart rate zones calculator explains each zone’s purpose, including Zone 2.
Why does stride length matter for step conversions?
A step count is not a distance until you multiply by stride. Taller walkers cover more ground per step, and stride shortens as you tire. The steps to miles calculator uses your height or a measured stride instead of a generic average.
Is my health data stored anywhere?
No. Every calculator on this page runs entirely in your browser — measurements you enter never leave your device, and nothing is saved when you close the tab.
Can these calculators replace medical advice?
No. They use published estimation methods and are useful for training, curiosity and tracking trends, but they do not diagnose anything. For medical decisions, see a clinician.
