Glitch text decoder
Short answer: paste zalgo-corrupted text in the box and the tool strips every combining diacritical mark, leaving exactly the characters you started with. Copy the clean text with one click.
Glitch and creepy text are built by attaching unicode combining marks (U+0300–U+036F and friends) to normal letters. The decoder normalizes the text and removes every mark in those ranges, so h̷e̷l̷l̷o̷ becomes hello again — including marks above, below and struck through letters. Whitespace and emoji pass through untouched.
h̷͑e̷͒l̶͝l̷͑o̶͝ → hello
When to decode glitch text
Short answer: whenever you receive corrupted text you actually need to read — copied memes, usernames you want to search, or your own text after overdoing the glitch.
- Reading corrupted messages — decode first, read second.
- Searching names — search engines and in-app search cannot match glitched characters; decode to get the searchable spelling.
- Cleaning your own text — went too far with the intensity slider? Recover the original in one click.
Frequently asked questions
What does the glitch text decoder do?
It removes every unicode combining mark from zalgo-style corrupted text, recovering the original plain characters underneath — exactly reversing what glitch text generators add.
Which characters does it remove?
All combining diacritical marks (U+0300–U+036F), combining marks for symbols, and related modifier ranges — the full set that glitch and creepy text tools use. Normal letters, numbers, spaces and emoji are never touched.
Will I get my exact original text back?
Yes, as long as the corruption only added combining marks — which is what every standard glitch generator does. The base characters underneath are preserved untouched.
Is the glitch text decoder free?
Yes — unlimited conversions, free forever. No account, no limits, no watermark.
Is my text private?
Completely. The conversion runs locally in your browser with JavaScript — what you type is never sent to a server, stored, or tracked.
