WiFi QR code generator free online no signup — how it works

Short answer: type your network name and password above — the QR code builds live. Guests point their phone camera at it and join instantly, no password typing. Download it as PNG or SVG, print it, stick it on the fridge. No signup, no watermark, and your password never leaves your browser.

How to use it

1. Enter your network name (SSID) exactly as it appears — capitals matter. 2. Enter the password and pick the security type (WPA/WPA2 for almost every modern router; WEP only for very old ones; "None" for open guest networks). 3. If your router hides the network name, tick Hidden network. The QR code updates as you type — download the PNG for printing or the SVG for crisp scaling on signs and menus.

Cafés, Airbnbs, offices and homes all use the same trick: one printed code by the entrance beats spelling "capital-K-7-dash…" to every visitor. Special characters in names and passwords (; : ,) are escaped automatically per the WiFi QR standard.

Frequently asked questions

How does a WiFi QR code work?
The QR code stores your network name, password and security type in a standard format phones understand. When a guest points their camera at it, the phone offers to join the network — no typing the password.
Is it safe to share my WiFi password this way?
Anyone who scans the code can read the password from it, so treat a printed QR code like writing the password on a card — fine for guests in your home or café, not for networks you want to keep secret. The code itself is generated locally in your browser and never sent anywhere.
Does it work with hidden networks?
Yes — tick "Hidden network (SSID not broadcast)" and the QR code carries the flag phones need to find it.
Which phones can scan it?
Any modern iPhone or Android phone: just open the camera app and point it at the code. No extra app needed.
Is it really free with no signup?
Yes — unlimited QR codes, PNG and SVG downloads, no account, no watermark. Everything runs in your browser.
