How to extract pages from a PDF
- Choose your PDF — it stays in your browser and is never uploaded.
- Tick the pages you want on the thumbnails, or type ranges like 1-3, 5. Both add to the same selection.
- Click Extract selected pages.
- Download the new PDF with just those pages.
Why extract pages?
Keep only what matters. Pull the three pages a client needs out of a long report, or save a single chapter from a manual. See before you pick. Thumbnails show each page, so you're choosing by content, not guessing page numbers. Order preserved. Extracted pages come out in document order, and the original file is untouched. For the opposite job, delete PDF pages to remove pages; to reorder them, use organize PDF; to break a file into several pieces, use split PDF.
Extract vs. split vs. delete
Extract keeps the pages you pick and gives you one new file. Split breaks one file into several files by ranges. Delete removes pages you mark and keeps the rest. All three copy pages losslessly — same content, same quality. Pick the one that matches what you want to end up holding.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The entire extraction runs in your browser with JavaScript — your PDF never leaves your device, which makes this safe for sensitive documents.
Can I pick pages by clicking thumbnails?
Yes. Tick any page thumbnail to add it to the selection. You can also type ranges like 1-3, 5 — both methods add to the same selection.
Do extracted pages keep their order?
Yes. Extracted pages are assembled in document order, even if you ticked them in a different order.
Does extraction reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied exactly as they are — same content, same resolution, no re-compression.
Can I extract a single page?
Yes. Tick one page, or type its number, and you get a one-page PDF.
What if I type a page number that doesn't exist?
The tool checks your ranges against the real page count and shows a clear error naming the out-of-range page.
What if my PDF is password-protected?
Password-protected PDFs can't be opened in the browser, so pages can't be extracted here. Remove the password in your PDF reader first.
Can I extract pages on my phone?
Yes. The extractor works on phone and desktop browsers — tap thumbnails to select pages, then download the new PDF.
