Outlines from source files can't be preserved by an in-browser merger, so bookmarks are rebuilt as one entry per file. Flattening bakes text-field values onto the page; other field types keep their visible appearance where present.

How to merge PDFs

  1. Add the PDFs (and JPG/PNG images) you want to combine — they stay in your browser and are never uploaded.
  2. Drag rows or use the Up / Down buttons to set the order, and remove anything you don't need.
  3. Keep the table of contents option on if you want a first page listing every file and its page range.
  4. Click Merge PDFs and download the combined file.

Why merge PDFs here?

One file, your order. Contracts with appendices, scanned pages plus photos, reports split across downloads — merging turns a pile of files into a single document anyone can open. Images become pages. A JPG or PNG is added as its own full page, fitted to the page, so scanned receipts and photos sit alongside real PDF pages. Private by default. Because merging happens locally, you can combine sensitive documents — bank statements, contracts, medical records — without sending them to a server. When the merged file is ready, you can split a PDF again, compress a PDF if it gets large, or edit text in a PDF.

About the table of contents page

Short answer: the optional contents page is a plain first page listing each file name and the page range it occupies in the merged file. It is not a clickable PDF bookmark/outline — browsers can't create real PDF bookmarks without a server, and we don't fake it. If you need clickable bookmarks, add them in a desktop PDF reader after downloading.

Will merging change my pages?

No. PDF pages are copied exactly as they are — same content, same size, same quality. Only image files are placed onto fresh pages, fitted inside a standard page without stretching. The merged file opens in any PDF reader.

Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. The entire merge runs in your browser with JavaScript — your files never leave your device, which makes this safe for sensitive documents.
Can I merge images with PDFs?
Yes. JPG and PNG images are accepted alongside PDFs. Each image becomes its own page in the merged file, fitted to the page without stretching.
Can I change the order of the files?
Yes. Drag rows to reorder, or use the Up / Down buttons on each row — both work on touch screens. You can also remove any file before merging.
Is the table of contents clickable?
No — it is a plain first page listing each file name and the page range it occupies. It is not a clickable PDF bookmark/outline. We keep it honest rather than claiming bookmarks we can't create in the browser.
Is there a limit on how many files I can merge?
No hard limit, but very large merges take longer and use more memory since everything runs on your device. For huge jobs, merge in batches.
Does merging reduce quality?
No. PDF pages are copied exactly, with no re-compression. Image pages are embedded at their original resolution, fitted to the page.
What if one of my files is password-protected?
Password-protected PDFs can't be opened in the browser, so they can't be merged here. Remove the password in your PDF reader first, then merge.
Can I merge PDFs on my phone?
Yes. The merge tool works on phone and desktop browsers. Pick files with the file picker, reorder with the Up / Down buttons, and download the merged PDF.
